Frequently Asked Questions

Everything shops and first-timers ask before ordering an oven — power, freight, lead times, warranty, and more. Still stuck? Get in touch.

01 · Power & Setup
What power do your ovens require?

Most Light Armor ovens run on 208–240V single-phase power. The exact amp draw and breaker size vary by model (for example, the LA2500B draws 14A on a 20A+ 2-pole breaker) — every product page lists its exact electrical specs. We also offer a 208V 3-phase supply for a surcharge, and gas (propane or natural gas) ovens on our larger units.

Can I just plug it in, or does it need to be hardwired?

Standard ovens come set up for DIY hardwire. On select models you can add a Plug & Play package (power cord + wired inlet + wall receptacle) so it's ready to plug into a matching outlet. Note that any unit pulling over 60A must be hardwired — this starts with the LA15K6 and applies to the larger models above it.

What temperatures do your ovens reach?

Our ovens are built for powder coating, Cerakote, carbon fiber, and general curing — rated up to 500°F (the LA2500B is optimized for 450°F and below).

02 · Shipping & Delivery
How long until my oven ships?

Built-to-order units are typically ready in 5–10 business days. Need it faster? An Expedite option (5 business days or less) is available for a surcharge. In-stock models ship the fastest.

How are ovens shipped?

Ovens and booths ship by freight on a pallet, with a choice of cardboard & plastic wrap or a wooden crate (insurance included). We generate a freight rate to your exact address at checkout or by quote.

About 5% of units shipped in plastic wrap or cardboard arrive with some scratching, scuffing, or denting from transit — anywhere from minor to major. If no damage is a must, we recommend the crate option or picking up at our warehouse.

Liftgate service is offered at checkout (shown as (L)) for customers without a forklift or loading dock, to safely lower the pallet to the ground from the freight truck. Note: liftgate is not available on LABS ovens and spray booths — those require a forklift to unload safely.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Yes — will-call pickup is available by appointment at our Morrisonville, IL shop. A valid ID is required (waived if paid by ACH or wire transfer). Picking up is also the surest way to avoid any transit damage.

03 · Ordering, Financing & Custom
Can you build a custom size?

Yes — we build one-off ovens and spray booths to your exact spec. Visit our Custom Work page to start a request.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — Shop Pay Installments and Affirm at checkout, or apply through QuickSpark. Paying by wire/ACH also earns 2.5% off. See our Financing page for details.

04 · Warranty & Returns
What warranty comes with an oven?

Every oven includes a 1-Year Complete Parts Warranty, with 2-, 3-, and 5-year upgrades available at checkout. If a part goes bad, we first troubleshoot and diagnose with you to pinpoint the faulty part, then ship you a brand-new replacement to swap in — with shipping covered by us.

What's your return policy?

Ovens and booths can be returned within 10 business days (a 25% restocking fee applies); other items within 60 days. See our Return Policy for full details.
