LA337 Spray Booth (3' x 3' x 7') – Review After Extended Use

After purchasing the LA2500B oven, I decided to invest in the LA337 spray booth to complete my coating setup. With prior experience and expectations from my first unit, I approached this purchase knowing I’d be customizing certain features to meet my workflow needs.

Shipping was straightforward and well-handled. I selected the standard cardboard and plastic wrap, which provided sufficient protection.

Initial build quality was good overall, but I saw immediate room for functional upgrades. One major improvement I made was adding side-mounted lighting—a feature I later saw implemented in newer builds via the manufacturer’s Instagram. I opted for higher-quality 5K LED to replace the 4K lighting included, which provided better color accuracy for coatings.

One limitation I addressed was the lack of independent light/fan control. I installed a switch that allows the lights to operate separately from the fan, which is critical for setup, staging, or multi-use applications.

A more technical concern was the unshrouded fan cavity. Without proper directional airflow, turbulence occurs, reducing efficiency. I installed a custom round shroud to funnel air cleanly from the booth through the exhaust, improving performance. I also clocked the fan orientation to reroute exposed wiring neatly into the wall.

Operation is quiet and stable—no rattling during use. I plan to build a leveling base with open clearance underneath, allowing easy cleaning. Future upgrades include quick-release filter housings to eliminate the need for tools during filter changes.

While I haven’t used the optional odor control or vent kits, my current configuration works exceptionally well for Cerakote, powder coating, and paint.

Overall: A well-designed, adaptable booth with excellent bones. With a few practical upgrades, it becomes a high-performing tool. I would purchase it again without hesitation.
